Green, Red, & White Kratom

Kratom types are generally divided into three different colors. White-vein, Red-vein or Green-vein. This division is dependent on the color of the stem and vein of the leave. If you look closely at a kratom leaf you will see that the stem and vein have a certain color. This color determines the effect the kratom leaf will have on mind and body. Different color means a different effect and a different chemical composition. The stem and vein will be removed during the grinding process. Therefore It is only the leaf which is supposed to be taken, without the stem and vein.

Which kind of kratom is most appropriate for you depends on your personal preferences and the situation you’re in. With kratom this can be quite complicated because the effects can vary within the same strain color. It depends on quality, location, climate, harvesting method etc. Not all red veins will have the same results and this also applies to the white and green veins.

Maeng Da Kratom has gained a lot of attention over the years, and with good reason. This strain has many unique qualities due to a carefully crafted alkaloid makeup. Green vein kratom is the middle road option between white and red. It is said to offer similar stimulant effects to those of white kratom.

Potency: Green kratom has a more subtle effect than its white vein counterpart but is still regarded as a stimulant.

Effects: As a stimulant, green vein kratom can give a mild energy boost, similar to white vein kratom, but it may also give the user better mental clarity to focus on tasks with and greater endurance.

Red Thai Kratom is sourced from mature trees and harvested in Southeast Asia. When harvesting, Red Thai only comes from ripe trees, which produces our powder into a sugar-like consistency using a standard grind.

One of the most popular strains of kratom, red vein kratom is best used for its supposed sedative effects. Red kratom may also be used for pain relief or to bring about a feeling of euphoria in the user.

Potency: Red kratom is the most mellow of kratom strains and is not generally classified as a stimulant. This makes it more approachable than its white or green counterparts.

Effects: Red kratom is thought to have a mild sedative effect, helping the user to remain calm. Some people may use red kratom for pain relief, although it has not been approved for this use or as a substitute for any medication.

White Bali is white veined strain from Borneo. It starts off as a green vein but is dried using a different technique. This alters the alkaloid profile and creates an entirely new strain.

White kratom carries an acquired taste, compared to other strains. Its intensity makes it harder for beginners to appreciate, but it can be rewarding for those who are interested in and and have tried other types of kratom.

Potency: White kratom is thought to be the most potent of all the major kratom strains (outside of Maeng Da), so it’s not ideal for people who are just learning about kratom.

Effects: White kratom is said to have a mild stimulant effect. In lower quantities, it is associated with increased energy and alertness.

Kratom extract is a refined form of kratom made by extracting the alkaloids mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine from kratom leaves or powder. The extraction process is simple: leaves or powder are boiled to create a solution, which is then strained to remove the solid particles. Next, the remaining solution is simmered down, which causes the water to evaporate. Once the solution is a paste, it dries, and then the resulting substance is ground down into a powder.

The difference between kratom extract and regular kratom powder is that kratom extract is a refined concentration of alkaloids and other active ingredients, so this will deliver the best concentrations of mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine without needing a fist full of capsules!
